For your primary home, we suggest a good house instead of a good deal.
Here is an excellent example. In 2001, I sold two houses at $320K and $610K, one at a major road and one in a quite neighborhood. Both houses were bought by respective owners around 1982. The one at a major road costs about $70K while the other costs around $90K. The onwer of the later home not only got higher appreciation from his home, he also enjoyed a quiter life for 19 years.
